Strategy for How to Deal with Stressful Situations and Turn your Life Around: with A Better Life Podcast

How to deal with stressful situations, or just plain how to deal with stress is all about learning how and when to take control.

It’s important to remember that you control how stress affects you. You can take charge of the stress or let stress rule over you.

In book 2 of the series we dive into…Evaluate yourself from a “much larger picture” or point of view when contemplating how to deal with stressful situations.

Below I’ve embedded a previous session of , A Better Life Podcast on dealing with stressful situations and when to change core beliefs.

A Course in Miracles has taught me that…The ego—that fearful and doubting aspect in us all, is trying to teach us how to gain the whole world and lose our own soul in the process.

That thought truly keeps me aligned to where answers arrive when I ask within myself how to deal with stress.

It’s why it is highly suggested to regularly practice mindfulness meditation techniques.

During the 1970’s as a young man I was with the U.S. Air Force, and there was a conflict going on in the world involving the country of Angola.

At that time I was stationed at an Air Force base in Texas, going through a survival training program and how to deal with stress.

Stressful Situations

Basically, survival training is intense training to cope with the extreme, toughest of conditions imaginable.

It’s about how to deal with stressful situations, and to make life-sustaining decisions. Especially, this training helps for  when you are for the most part alone and facing tremendous turmoil.

(By the way, here’s a related post on why changing core beliefs may turn your life around for a better life.)

The squadron commander called us all together into a training classroom. He informed our squadron that we were being flighted out that night to Angola, as ordered by President Ford.

We were ordered not to make phone calls home or write letters for obvious security reasons.

Needless to say, we were all stunned and up against how to deal with stressful situations.

We had not even finished our training program.

At that point in our training we were learning about enemy tactics of propaganda.

Things designed to promote in our minds perceptions of false and negative situations, causing an airman to make rash decisions. I mean handling oneself positively while hung up in how to deal with stressful situations.

That evening, with our full travel gear in check, we gathered at the designated meeting place, where Major Remming, our squadron commander, announced to us that we had been fooled.

Although Angola was very much a conflict situation, the deployment orders were fake.  They had fooled us in order that we might learn how our individual minds might react.

Earlier that day, before we realized the orders were phony and did actually believe we were going to a hostile area, Captain Jenkins, the psychologist who was our chaplain, gave us a talk about how to deal with stressful situations and making split-second decisions.

He urged us to carry along a message in our hearts.

Then he described to us a dream he once had.

“In this dream I was walking along the beach with my Lord,” he told us.  “Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.

Each scene showed a time when I was not able to make decisions and was terribly confused.

As I watched, I saw two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

“When the last scene of my life shot before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand, and only one set of footprints remained.

I realized that this was the lowest and toughest time of my life.

This bothered me, and I questioned my Lord about my dilemma.

“‘Lord, you told me when I decided to follow you that you would walk with me and talk with me, and help me along the way.

But I see that during my hardest test, there is only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why, when I needed you the most, you would leave me.’

“The Lord whispered to me: ‘My child, I love you and will never leave you, for we are together.  Where you saw only one set of footprints it was because I was carrying you.’”

Now, so many years later, I am often reminded of this story.

A Course in Miracles states, “Opposites must be brought together, not kept apart.  For the separation is only in your mind.”

How to Deal with Stressful Situations with Pleasure

A Course in Miracles states:

  • “There is no gift the Father asks of you but that you see in all creation but the shining glory of His gift to you.”

That said, we may say, sharing of spirit shows all of His gift to you which is your creativity.

It’s since the links end up being no longer links at all and are combined as the One-Mind by extension of each other.

In this procedure all of us extend and getting the life you want at the same time.

There is time while we judge space, which you project from your dream frame of mind. Paradise is both genuine and is specific, and is the Truth of all that exists.

Unpredictability, fear and doubt are not sincere, which indicates it can’t be everlasting.

Live the Life you want

Our sharing the ‘Holy Spirit’ as the linkage to wholeness of mind puts us both in Heaven as ‘Oneness’ shared.

What we forecast just appears to be genuine, and will one day be gone when time and space are no more.

What we extend is not governed by time, and is genuine here on Earth while time lasts and then beyond. Can I extend love to my child while she dreams in her sleep?

This is a law of the mind that has never altered, and never ever will.

This linkage is a revelation for how to deal with stressful situations and be happy in life.

It’s by bringing us closer to that One-Mindedness while we’re yet in this world we call Earth.

One-Mindedness is the everlasting and limitless world of wholeness.

Something that extends currently exists despite a dream frame of mind, because it is our natural divine Essence as the Dreamer.

In this sense, then, how to deal with stressful situations and turn your life around while in this world is made easy.

Conclusion:

You project the scenes of your life as they appear on the movie screen called your life.

So to turn your life around is the simple correction of a wrong-minded viewed concept within yourself. And in me.

It’s by the interaction of the Holy Spirit as the Link in between our minds.

The wholeness I mention here is your totality, or, Heaven, where stressful situations and separateness cannot abide.

Release unpredictability, fear and doubt, and what will stay is the certainty of a terrific world for you. As well, living the life you want by your own design.

(Here’s a related article on how to begin coping with anxiety and overcoming fear by Truth within you that is ever-so powerful.)
