Let’s look more deeply at religious beliefs compared to spiritual enlightenment, or spiritual awakening.
How to have a spiritual awakening or aligning with spiritual consciousness may differ from religious beliefs.
Spiritual growth is not necessarily restrained to a particular religious belief. Although some individuals may believe so.
Individuals read the word spiritual growth and they instantly conclude that this is something for the religious.
Or the spiritual awakening process having something to with a religious order.
The spirituality of the self through spiritual awakening refers not to the faith of an individual. But rather to the consciousness or awareness of being.
It’s the awareness that a person exists beyond his/her body.
The Course in Miracles states:
- “Truth is without illusions and therefore within the Kingdom. Everything outside the Kingdom is illusion. When you threw truth away you saw yourself as if you were without it.”
Numerous religious faiths do have their own variations of spiritual awakening. Most are rooted by themselves sets of religious doctrines, rules, and laws of the church.
Some have actually concerned spiritual enlightenment through meditations and self actualization.
To them spiritual awakening or spiritual enlightenment is removal. It’s the letting go of whatever walls or layers we have that cover or hide our true light.
It is having the experience of peace, the calmness, the fulfillment, and efficiency.
Someone has so eloquently put it as awakening through a huge bump to head. That of course is a too simplified method to describe the experience.
In some religious beliefs, spiritual awakening is the pre-requisite to spiritual recovery.
If spiritual awakening is the finding of your true self, then what is spiritual recovery? May we say it is the part where you align with a positive nature?
We may say, collect all the positive physical, psychological and spiritual components. Likewise, use them to live a happy, healthy, and satisfying life.
They insist that prayers will offer or strengthen. It’s in the standards they need to reach, repeat and keep spiritual awakening.
For Christians, spiritual awakening process is likewise achieved upon realization that they are sinners. It includes sacrifice and to repent.
They have this knowledge that God is the only true course. And going back to him and being loyal to the laws of the Church is the method to spiritual healing.
Now those who are far less attuned to spiritual enlightenment impacts think more inwardly. They see that spiritual awakening can be achieved through meditations.
Through correct meditation, inner peace and peacefulness are achieved. Healing can be accomplished also.
Meditation is only an action towards spiritual awakening.
One needs to go deeper into the procedure. And then to achieve the true enlightenment as some people would rather believe.
This method has been used in the past by a number of religious beliefs.
Mindfulness meditation on the one hand is more of breathing based mediation. It’s where the goal is to open the energy points.
I mean in the body to accomplish a higher level of awakening of the awareness.
Faith and spiritual awakening are linked, but depending upon the religious beliefs. I’m saying along with the technique and the analysis of spiritual awakening varies.
But one thing is particular, attaining spiritual wakening results to having a favorable outlook in life.
Yes, making living in this world happier through consciousness and then becoming more material happiness.
Spiritual enlightenment or spiritual growth is not tied down to a religious belief as many might want to think.
People here the phrase spiritual awakening process and right away look for a religion to be associated with.
But how to have spiritual awakening and align to spiritual consciousness is awareness of the real inner Self.
Spiritual growth is your real inner consciousness. It’s inner awareness of being that is greater than the physical.
It is the awareness that one exists eternally.
Likewise, it’s the knowing that all our fears are only of the physical world.
The Course in Miracles further states:
- “Would you not exchange your fears for the truth, if the exchange is yours for the asking?”
Spiritual awakening is the finding of your true inner self. Then spiritual healing is the part where you collect all the positive nature.
It’s then where you turn that nature into the physical, spiritual and emotional components as-one.
Spiritual growth is how we utilize our real inner essence. Yes, especially for finding happiness and to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
To a happy and fulfilling life,
James Nussbaumer
