Are you like many who want to begin discovering purpose and finding your way in life, but are overwhelmed with life in general and see no prospects for change and living your dreams?
Perhaps you’re feeling a true calling or your purpose in life tugging at you!
In this session of A Better Life Podcast below, we want to get to the bottom of why people find they no longer feel an authentic passion in living, despite all the “fun stuff” they do or have.
For many people like you trying to start discovering purpose might mean connecting it to fun and enjoyment and passion.
The world seems to have tried to teach us how to fit in, including having the proper toys that the world tells us are fun.
It seems the concrete ego-based thought system sets the standards for “how” and “when” and “where” and with “what” to have fun.
Many people have a lot of “fun” toys but never use them.
This is the case whether poor or rich, and regardless of the stage of life they are in.
Maybe a kind of “keeping up with the Joneses.”
Despite all the “fun” things people do, many are still not having fun because they are not discovering purpose and passion in what they do.
What is really missing when finding your purpose in life might be the sense itself, of pure joy.
We see other people and their ways of survival, so we copy their ideas of what fun is supposed to be.
We stop exercising our own power of choice and allow the worldly pleasures of the ego to give us joy and tell us what discovering purpose “should be” all about.
More and more people, and perhaps, you, too, for uncovering or discovering purpose, continue to say, “I just don’t know how to have fun anymore.”
As we deeply looked at in the Better Life Podcast, our ego-based mind cannot handle real inner bliss and joy, but who we truly are is all joy.
The Course in Miracles states, “Much of the ego’s strange behavior is directly attributable to its definition of guilt.”
And many further think and wonder, “What is my purpose or function in this world?”
The Course in Miracles further teaches us more about why the ego’s rule, because of it’s guilt, is, “Seek and do not find.”
Is it really true that maybe you don’t know how to begin being open to finding a life of purpose, or are you simply afraid to go after life and have fun, while living a life of inner freedom and peace?
To finding your way in life with passion,
James Nussbaumer
