One of the most typical issues people who work from their home face is, working from home loneliness. Here are my suggestions to conquer depression caused by work, or perhaps, stay at home mom depression:
Be Engaged on Social Media:
Yes, absolutely, these days with Twitter, FB, YouTube and all the others, choose one that suits you the most and really get involved.
For me, I love Twitter the best of them all, and you can find me there right here.
Having online acquaintances with similar interests keeps you stay motivated and accountable, and will minimize if not totally rid, working from home loneliness.
Try not to invest too much time conversing and messaging.
If a friend is in a state of mind for a long chat throughout service hours you have to be in advance and tell them that you will have to get back to them later.
For me just knowing that I have a network that I can rely on is good enough.
Just that sensation that you are not alone is in some cases enough not to sink you into that, working from home loneliness.
Master-Mind Forums:
These master-mind forums serve a dual function, and I host a master-mind group called Every Day Miracles, and we all help each other be all we can be.
It’s great!
Not only that, but it is how successful people grow, and of the habits of highly effective people all over the globe, and how they achieve financial success from within, first, and reflect it to their exterior world.
They are an exceptional method of getting the word about your business and allow you to communicate with other company friends and staying inspired.
The Course in Miracles teaches us to, “Seek and find, rather than seek and do NOT find.”
Again just invest enough time on online forums to keep you inspired and motivated. But don’t anticipate finding all your customers on the online forums.
Webinars and Podcasts:
I am addicted to podcasts, and in fact I even host my own.
I love listening to podcasts, too, and seeing what other professionals can teach me.
There are stacks of webinars and podcasts on the internet and is growing every day, including things like, women’s life confidence.
I choose inspirational oriented podcasts.
The Course in Miracles further teaches us to, “Extend yourself which is how the miracle is performed.”
Take a brisk walk:
When you are working from the house it’s quite easy to feel imprisoned and chained to your work station.
There are no water coolers to gossip at and take your mind away from work.
There are no associates across the desk to talk about the latest film releases, or who is having an affair with whom.
You just need to come up with something that can take your mind away from work related depression for some time.
I normally walk to the gym in the mid early morning. Since I come back all revitalized, and, I truly enjoy it.
Change your Routine or Location:
I sometimes get rather tired of my home office.
And of course working on the bed and viewing a movie on the cable television is always tempting and I have fallen a victim to this trap lots of times.
I love the versatility that comes with working from my apartment, and if I prefer, I’ll take my laptop to the library for a few hours.
I’ll also spend some time each day with a strongly suggested yoga for healing technique, which I’ve found to even help my golf game.
Yoga does wonders for many areas of your life, and there’s even yoga for weight-loss.
And, don’t forget about mindfulness training, where you use meditation breathing to calm the soul and listen for inner guidance, and a review article on that here…
Work Related Depression
There are nevertheless some drawbacks of working from home.
But the most typical issue is, working from home loneliness, and so do the stay at home mom depression symptoms arise for many raising children.
Again, just try to do some things, get involved where and when you can into online activities and relax.
You will only become your own prisoner if you allow yourself to be.
As the Course in Miracles tells us, “Don’t make a war against yourself.”
So overcome work related depression and working from home loneliness, by taking things more lightly, while staying inspired and motivated.
