When considering meditation methods, many individuals get the notion that they don’t have the time, or are not able to quiet their mind, or that they can’t relax long enough.
Discovering meditation for a difficult task like weight-loss proved to me that I can use meditation to accomplish anything.
It was when a reflective person I know, heavily involved in yoga and meditation, showed me that I could transform other areas of my life with only 5 to 10 minutes any time of the day.
I am now a firm believer.
Existing research estimates that the average person has over 60,000 thoughts each day, 90 percent of which are replications of our ideas from yesterday. Individuals invest almost half their time worrying and 90 percent of those concerns never come real.
On the other hand, a reflective person can remember those remarkable moments when we experienced unbound love, triggers of wisdom and understanding; the minutes when we felt overall inner harmony and peace with the world around us and consistency within ourselves.
Meditation for Anxiety
If we could just manage our uneasy anxiety filled mind and apply it with greater effectiveness in presence—the now, or what many call the present moment, our lives would improve drastically.
Knowing and practicing meditation methods can set us devoid of unnecessary concerns and improve our perception and senses.
Although numerous meditation methods and traditions and techniques exist around the globe, they can be approximately divided into 4 broad categories: concentration meditation, reflective (or insight) meditation, mindfulness meditation and creative meditation.
- Concentration meditation:
Concentration meditation method is the basis for all other kinds of mediation for a reflective person. The power of the mind is wonderful! The focused mind can become a powerful provider of our intentions.
Through the ability to concentrate, the mind can get greater stability, clarity and calm so that confusion, stress and anxiety and absence of attention become problems of the past.
Even more, concentration is used in the other major type of meditation—mindfulness, reflective, and creative. Additionally, the power and focus of deep concentration is often used for the development of real physic awareness.
- Reflective Awareness Meditation:
Reflective awareness meditation saves us through disciplined thinking. The reflective person realizes our salvation lies in the realization of our real Home beyond the body.
This meditation method is generally used for acquiring higher insights into the nature of death, life, the meaning of life, or the concern of your own mental quest, be it relationships, a scientific puzzle, or everyday problems.
Consider where A Course in Miracles states, “Salvation is no more than a reminder this world is not your home.”
- Mindfulness Meditation:
Mindfulness is a state of awareness in the present moment, when your mind is relaxed and conscious of your experience, including feelings and ideas, experiences and breathing, and accepts whatever, with an attitude of non-resistance and equanimity.
Thus, you can experience everything totally without self-criticism or clinging to your individuality and significance.
The majority of our issues emerge from an absence of faith and awareness, and then we fall to meaningless wrong-minded actions in our lives.
A Course in Miracles further states, “To have faith is to heal.”
The practice of mindfulness meditation methods heal, and lend enhanced focus and concentration, boosting the quality of our communication, managing stress, increasing our effectiveness and building self-confidence.
- Innovative meditation:
While concentration and mindfulness bring more focus and awareness into our lives, becoming a reflective person, where innovative meditation methods assist us to change and use the habits of the mind with higher performance.
Imaginative meditation can assist us with developing and strengthening specific qualities of our nature.
It can likewise welcome more possibilities and capacities into our lives.
Power of Visualization
Imaginative visualization, one of the most used techniques of innovative meditation, can help us with fulfilling personal desires, such as succeeding in professional life or attracting happiness.
Our subconscious mind does not determine between imaginative and real-life stimuli.
An impression may last just an instant, the subconscious mind can trigger comparable emotional, mental, and mental reactions repeatedly.
Thus, by bringing preferable emotionally charged images into our awareness we can exercise productive control over our creativity and influence the favorable qualities of our mind.
All of us understand that we can train our physique and gradually develop stamina and flexibility by exercising routinely.
The very same guidelines hold true for the mind; numerous research studies have demonstrated that it is possible to establish greater intelligence, imagination, and other mental capabilities.

Imaginative visualization, one of the most used approaches of innovative meditation, can assist us with satisfying individual desires, such as succeeding in professional life with much joy.
With the persistent practice of meditation for anxiety, your mind will come out of the fog, being powerful, and you will be able to use it for any activity with mindfulness and exceptional performance.
