Overcoming Adversity; Another Way of Looking at the World Today

Overcoming adversity can be a no brainer when we trust.

We have all lost our desire and ambitions at some point in our life.

We often seem to be running out of steam when we needed it the most—then feeling more miserable over our loss of purpose or energy.

Then even more miserable contemplating the effort we see ahead of us just trying to get back on our feet and overcome adversity.

You, like me, may have been taught to trust yourself.  We’ve heard it before: “Just tell yourself you can do it” or “You can do anything you set your mind to.”

And my favorite, “Work a little bit harder and you’ll make it.”

Let’s take these loving and well-intended lessons to another level—to the level where our real mind and our real self can overcome adversity.

(By the way, here’s a related article for how to live the life you imagine now by letting go of feeling hopeless.)

If you are trusting in strength on your own, you have every reason to be apprehensive, anxious, fearful, and lonely.

What is there in yourself you can predict or control?

What is there in you that can be counted on?

What is in you that gives you the recognition of the right solution, and the guarantee that you can climb out of that seemingly difficult hole and overcome adversity, and achieve the life you deserve?

Your ego-based self can do none of these things.

To believe that you can is to put your trust where trust is unwarranted.

It is to justify your fear, anxiety, depression, sorrow, and anger.

Who can put their faith in weakness and feel safe?

On the flip side of the coin, who can put their faith in strength and feel weak?

God is your safety in every circumstance, and is how you can overcome adversity.  He is in you, and the Holy Spirit—your natural inner Guide, does the communicating.

A Course in Miracles states, “His Voice speaks for Him in all situations, telling you exactly what to do in order to call upon His strength.”

His protection is guaranteed.

There are no exceptions because God has no exceptions, and the Voice that speaks for Him knows all of this.

Here’s another related article on how to overcome feeling lost and confused in life through the power of self-forgiveness:

Here is great exercise I use when I am up against overcome adversity:

“There is another way of looking at the world.”

I want you to reach past your own weakness to your Source of your own real strength.  Only you know how to locate it.

And, if you need help on a manifesting principles, yes, an exercise, to get what you want, I highly suggest this system.

This will take all the truth that you are about.  Go ahead, find it now.

  • In this exercise sit in a comfortable position and get a great in/out breathing technique going, while repeating these words within yourself:

“There is another way of looking at the world. God is the strength in which I trust.”

  • For example, you can say, “There is another way of looking at the world, and I now can see that God is the strength in which I trust.” Try to put a rhythm to this as you start your day and going about your day.

You are now trying to slip past all concerns related to your own sense of inadequacy.

Yes, Do Not Allow Outside Forces to Bring You Down!

Okay, let’s move on.

You will feel the ego try to nudge you from your resolve by insisting you are still inadequate in overcoming adversity.

But understand it is obvious that any situation that causes you concern is associated with these feelings of inadequacy—otherwise you would believe that you could deal with the situation successfully.

It is not by trusting yourself that you will gain confidence.  You will come to sense the strength of God in you as successful in all things.

The recognition of your own frailty is a necessary step in the correction of your errors, but it is hardly sufficient to give you the confidence you need, and to which you are entitled.

You must also gain an awareness that the confidence in your real strength is fully justified in every respect and in all circumstances.

Now when you practice the exercise, try to reach deep in your mind to a place of real safety.

But this is why I urge you to seek out meditation exercises for reaching within and bringing forward your dreams to reality.

You will start to recognize that you’ve reached it if you feel a sense of deep peace and security, however brief it may be.

Next, let go of all trivial things that churn and burn on the surface of your mind.

There is a place within you where there is perfect peace.

There is a place where nothing is impossible.  This is where the strength of God abides within you.

Again, here is your exercise for overcoming adversity: “There is another way of looking at the world, and I now can see that God is the strength in which I trust.”

Take this deep within yourself, contemplate it, and be at one with these words.
