To have peace of mind in daily life and getting through depression is often a huge problem in the world today. There are those days that suck and lower the boom on you and you’re struggling for how to get over depression.
I’m sure you’ll agree either you or someone you know depends on pharmacy prescriptions to enjoy peace of mind.
But there’s another way to have peace of mind the majority of people aspire for. It’s a calm conscious mind.
Some of us can’t sleep at night and if this is the case with you and came across my blog I invite you to revert to this article about “Can’t sleep”.
So let’s now move on about finding inner peace and strength.
Consider when, undoubtedly, the person on the other side of the door is angry and wants quiet and to have peace of mind. This kind of way to find peace of mind is savage and superficial, one that is obvious and unreal.
The Course in Miracles states, “Send not these savage messengers into the world, to feast upon it and prey upon reality.”
To Enjoy Peace of Mind
Some individuals have a relaxed conscious mind when they are asleep.
Maybe this is possible just when they are physically tired, and the urge to sleep is stronger than the need to have comfort.
Being disturbed and angry and unable to have peace of mind will keep you awake night after night.
The longer this persists, the more comprehensive the damages will end up being.
It can lead to searching for how to get over depression and other anxiety related issues.
All of this unfavorable thinking pollutes the mind needlessly.
I have found that how successful people grow, like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, my friend Mike Hofacker, a dirt bike champion, Ronnie Skeen and many other pro golfers, and so many more everywhere around the globe, is they don’t leave their mind vacant for long, so to avoid it from leaning back to the unfavorable side.
Empty your mind of all these unfavorable habits and begin to have peace of mind in daily life.
Here’s a brief related post for you to revert back to on how successful others have overcome adversities in everyday life:
We all want to Find Peace of Mind
Keep on letting go of all unfavorable thoughts by emptying them from your mind, and have peace of mind with favorable and motivating ideas.
The Course in Miracles teaches that, “The Holy Spirit has given you love’s messengers to send instead of those you trained through fear.”
Practice this as typically as necessary—each time you believe you need to.
By repeating this procedure, you are practicing excellent habits aimed at keeping your mind devoid of unfavorable thoughts and full of positive vibrations to accomplish and have peace of mind.
For me, I find these words taken from the Course in Miracles workbook to be helpful in breathing meditation, or prayer:
- I will be quiet and still for an instant and go home. This world I seem to live in is not my real Home.
That’s all it takes, a 3-5 minute breathing meditation, or prayer, and you will find somewhere in your mind where you touch the peace and tranquility of Heaven.
Eventually, this routine will enter into your day-to-day activities until you get used to it.
You will find everything you do to be favorable based in an effortless way when you do.
You may ask, “Just how to get over depression and anxiety and to unload negative thoughts and make a shift to positive ones?”
Try the Power of Visualization
One of the best methods to do this is by the power of visualization.
Try imagining peaceful scenes in your mind. For example, you can initially visualize in your mind a beach being battered by tropical stormy weather conditions.
Branches of palm trees are intensely swinging in all directions, and the sand hailing through the air. Everything seems to be disorderly, similar to a distressed mind.
However storms do not last. They move on. When they leave, sunshine and great calm weather comes in.
A troubled mind resembles a storm in your mind. Once the issue is gone, you will have a calm consciousness.
Aim to construct a strong structure of positive attitudes so that when another storm hits your mind, you’re prepared to face it.
This is similar to practicing positive outlook with a reflective mindset.
Visualize a beautiful tropical setting on a beach with calm blue/green water gently rolling ashore. Doesn’t it look tranquil?
This is how your state of mind should be, peaceful so that it can be used to have peace of mind in daily life.
This is why I so often urge you to learn how to do mindfulness meditation, breathing meditation that will shift you to that calm consciousness we’re all wanting, and more on that here…
What about material and books on finding peace of mind?
There are many other methods to generate a peaceful mind.
Think of words that suggest a calm mind—words like peaceful (a tranquil beach and sea), tranquility, wonderful, and stillness.
Read poems, phrases, and excerpts that suggest that you have peace of mind.
You can likewise join group talks where the discussion is centered on how to find peace of mind in harmony with joy, love, and peace.
If you prefer to be on your own, moments of silence can help you have peace of mind. The library is an ideal place to be in.
Pick up books on finding peace of mind that recommend comfort and you may have the ability to discover other means to acquire your objective.
By repeating this process, you are practicing the habits of successful people, and keeping your mind totally free of unfavorable ideas and full of positive vibrations to attain peace of mind.
When your inner dialogue is chirping, “I want peace of mind.”
Remember a struggling mind is like a storm in your mind.
I’ve heard someone else say that a troubled mind can seem like a wild jungle full of snakes and other creatures out of control everywhere.
Again, don’t be shy to sign up with group talks where the discussion is focused on how to find peace and tranquility, unified with love, and joy.
If you choose to practice the power of visualization in the comfort of your home or office.
Yes, I mean start a collection, a personal library, if you will, with plenty of great books, CD’s, videos, and other systems which you can find online or in bookstores.
Many can’t afford the therapist’s couch, and like the idea of finding peace as a personal journey.
You may also consider things like, jogging, power walking and other physical exercise, or yoga spirit, and so much more.
The point is that attaining peace of mind in daily life can be achieved, and there are many ways to begin self-healing.
